|Today’s guest on Leading Matters is Business Mentor Shelley Davidescu. Shelley combines her knowledge in psychology, business, and health to help leaders understand how their unique message creates a bigger impact in the world today.
I have discovered it to be a truly fascinating industry with some amazing professionals, and after learning more about it I decided to make an effort to do my part to expose more of my audience to the industry and some of the people doing great work. Which leads us to our first guest from the coaching industry, Shelley Davidescu.
I think you’ll love it. Here are the highlights.
Our Career Inhibitors Are Frequently Deeply rooted.
Fear is more often than not the largest inhibitor to our individual success. 100% of Shelley’s clients eventually identify fear as that which is their biggest roadblock.
Double Down on Your Strengths
We have weaknesses, all of us. The difference between successful people and unsuccessful is reflected in what they decide to do (or not do) with their weaknesses, and how invested they are in their strengths.
Nowhere to Hide
Entrepreneurs, especially early on, are responsible for every facet of their business. They cannot afford to hide from the things they don’t like to do. The remedy is to find the purpose in your passion and align your efforts against both.
Habit Determines Much
This is both good news and bad. The good is that we can establish habits that will assist us in our efforts to move forward. The bad news is that replacing old bad habits with good new ones can be a difficult task.
We Can Have No Clear Mission Without Intent
Our goals, if not well defined, can quickly become meaningless. To avoid this risk, we have to have clear outcomes in mind, and discretely defined goals.
Narrow Focus to Better Serve
Serving first for the sake of serving frequently leads to success. To be better servants of our marketplace we have to work to be as narrowly focused as possible on who we seek to serve.
