On today’s drive we’ll talk about mindfulness. What is mindfulness? Well in this context it is a hypersensitivity to every single action to discern its purpose.
What? Yeah a little wordy perhaps, but maybe the car cast will give you a little more insight.
I’m easily distracted. Taht is just a fact. And one thing that I have learned being out on my own is that unless my day is rigidly structured it can get away from me quickly, leaving me asking “What the heck did I do today?” Make matters worse is one of my bad habits of choosing what I like to work on ahead of what be the highest priority to work on. A volatile mix.
This article that my wife passed along to me, A Mindful Approach to Time Management, offers some excellent perspective. Exercising mindfulness gives us a greater awareness over why we are doing what we are doing. Even the littlest action can be ordered to purpose.
Let me know what you think and what works for you. See you for the next ride.
